As a Partnership Business Development Analyst for Commercial Partnerships and Business Development you will collaborate with global strategy, corporate development, product, marketing and engineering teams to explore, develop, define, negotiate and close new business opportunities. You will collaborate with a variety of internal teams as a partnership SME and also directly with potential target companies to find opportunities to generate revenue or build capabilities for Ford or its customers. The role includes screening potential business opportunities and partners by analyzing internal strategies, deal requirements, potential/opportunity, and financials, while taking into consideration the POV/Business Owner's internal priorities. You will develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of potential new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.

What you'll be able to do:

Leadership:
  • Work closely with Ford Business, Product and Feature Owners to prioritize projects and opportunities. Transition opportunities through Think, POV, Plan-To-Implement and Implement phases to deliver the defined go-to-market strategy and objectives.
  • Implementing the plan and delivering on revenue and/or Management by Objectives (MBO) targets.

Explore:

  • Collaborate with Ford Corporate Development and Global Strategy efforts to define business opportunities and appropriate engagement for partnering activities
  • Work with internal team and external prospective partners to explore and evaluate potential third partner relationships to demonstrate and use Ford's data in a productive, useful and valuable method.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and the product owners to learn and understand their business to better understand what is required to work towards our goals for data monetization, sharing, and protection.
  • Gather an understanding of the overall ecosystem requirements to make our connected vehicles, services, and vehicle data more valuable.

Establish:

  • Build strong internal customer and external partner relationships built on trust, creativity and integrity.
  • Create presentations and other tools that can be used to educate our internal and external customers and provide thought leadership.

Implementation Plan:

  • Deliver partnerships that aligns with Ford strategies, internal product time frames and defines and prioritizes opportunities
  • Work with product organization align business terms with needs and support implementation of new products and/or services
  • Manage pipeline of internal customers and partners, providing accurate forecasts and achieving target revenues and / or MBOs.

Execution and Continuous Improvement:

  • Partner with Product Owners and the development teams to help align with timing, prioritization from customers and insights that can help streamline our product backlogs.
  • Deliver on revenue targets, MBOs and provide success metrics and reports to analyze trends and patterns in the channels.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of working on partnerships, product, purchasing, distribution channels or corporate development

Our preferred requirements:

  • Understanding of IoT (data, sensors, etc.) and connectivity in terms of the whole vehicle system
  • Basic understanding of vehicle data available from Ford vehicles.
  • Strong team building and record of presenting at management and/or executive levels-both internally and external companies.
  • Experience multi-tasking - working laterally across multiple business projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with a team comprised of internal and external partners across professional levels. Curiosity about working on projects that seek to solve challenges and improve the quality of our customer's lives.
  • Bias for action - identifies and acts on both short- and long-term goals in achieving results
  • Strong skills for critical thinking and analysis - able to translate strategic plans into executable actions
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent time management
