External Description: Vehicle Network LIN Engineer

What you'll be able to do:

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for Local Interconnect Network (LIN)
  • Support resolution of LIN related issues during all phases of GPDS
  • Collaborate with teams to coordinate the design and deployment of LIN implementations
  • Collaborate with ECU and vehicle program stakeholders in the launch of LIN implementations and functionality
  • Catalog, organize and manage all attributes of LIN implementations across all ECUs and platforms for the entire organization
  • Create and manage specifications and standards for LIN across the organization
  • Develop an organization-wide roadmap for the ongoing deployment and use of LIN
Minimum requirements we seek:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Possess expertise in Local Interconnect Network (LIN)
  • Familiarity with real-time data acquisition and actuator controls
  • Knowledge of real-time and event driven device communications
  • Familiarity with bitwise communication methods
  • Possess excellent detail-oriented organizational skills
Our preferred qualifications:
  • Masters Degree
  • Experience with various multiplex protocols CAN or Ethernet (internships/Co-op/coursework allowed)
  • AUTOSAR familiarity a plus
  • Knowledge of Ford engineering processes
  • Demonstrated team leadership and motivational skills
