The Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and implementing the strategic approach to enable performance based digital channels to meet U.S. Marketing goals and objectives. Among these channels, Search (SEM and SEO) is paramount, in combination with other performance channels such as Programmatic activation across display, video, native, etc. This role is responsible for building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with key business leads across the US Marketing, Digital Enterprise, Content, Data & Analytics teams and with external agency partners. The Manager will supervise dedicated agency teams in the creation, optimization, and execution of search initiatives inclusive of paid and organic.

This manager will also work closely with the Ford AdTech manager to ensure search and programmatic buying are coordinated. This position is both strategic and tactical in scope and requires the ability to apply detailed search knowledge to practical insights and recommendations.

This role is responsible for driving strategic performance marketing expertise within the US Marketing teams as well leading the development of innovative strategies to meet and exceed business objectives. This team member should have strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, a self-starter mindset, and a willingness to challenge and re-imagine the status quo.

What you will be able to do:

  • Strong analytical skills, reporting capabilities, and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Innovative, bring ideas to the table, and have a desire to constantly be learning
  • Draft hypotheses and design test structures to draw actionable opportunities for scale or efficiency
  • Lead agency team handling the strategic approach to search (paid and organic) across prospecting and ownership retention to align approach to meet overall marketing objectives
  • Lead the optimization of paid search campaigns from end-to-end-keyword research, planning, strategy, execution, analysis, and optimization
  • Lead agency team developing SEO strategies and recommendations including Content Strategy & Technical SEO.
  • Identify areas for ongoing optimizations, such as bid adjustments, keyword expansion, and daypart adjustments
  • Work with broader media team to ensure search campaigns are optimally supporting overall media strategies.
  • Highly experienced on implementing a Modern Search + Programmatic approach to drive alignments across biddable audience channels
  • Test and analyze new search formats and betas
  • Experience analyzing data, trends, and client information to identify product or service growth opportunities.
  • Keep informed of relevant issues affecting the performance/digital landscape
  • Excellent communication and training skills (internal team & external agencies)
  • Strong leadership skills (people, projects, deadlines)
  • Experience using Search intelligence to help inform on-page SEO optimizations
  • Ability to develop and present detailed and thoughtful SEO/SEM strategies, performance reports, and optimization plans
  • Use of automation to re-imagine campaigns and ad copy development

The minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of paid search experience and proficiency with other performance marketing channels, including programmatic

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science or other with experience in a related field
  • Experience with SEO management
  • Strong analytical skills (Preferably experience working within Adobe Analytics & Adobe Media Optimizer)
  • Strong written, oral, presentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-pace, performance driven environment
  • Experience with agency/client relations (either on the agency side or on the client side)
