The Head of Dynamic Pricing & Yield Management , Ford Blue will lead the Yield Management Center of Excellence for Ford Blue. The individual in this role will reporting into Andrew Frick, Vice President of Sales & Truck. They will establish a Yield Management Center of Excellence of pricing professionals. This team will enhance our pricing strategy and improve profit through driving dynamic pricing, demand analytics, product allocation and vehicle distribution adjustments.

This role has the unique opportunity to use their talents and expertise to build a Yield Management Center of Excellence. This COE will support three unique segments: Enthusiast, Family, and Truck, maximizing technology to influence pricing and incentive strategy and mix management. The COE will develop Best in Class practices and subject matter experts in the Yield Management and Dynamic Pricing fields.

This role will build the strategy to allow the Ford Blue business to effectively and efficiently price both products and services and to function at a hyperlocal level across the globe. Working over 20+ U.S. based regions and ICE global markets, this person will optimize Ford Blue's pricing processes to maximize profit through pricing incentives, mix management, and variable and fixed pricing. They will drive a shift from variable marketing and a focus on pure MSP to dynamic pricing, alternative fast turn, and driving sales philosophy through innovative practices.

This leader will approach their work with a technology first perspective through artificial intelligence, automated algorithmic pricing, pioneering use of pricing technologies, and integrations to the current DMS (Dealer Management System) and other selling tools. They will explore integrations to ecommerce platforms and drive transparent variable pricing while maintaining high yields for Ford Blue focusing on customer experience as well as price. They and their team will work with dealer partners and other field representatives to train and positively influence field practices. They will build the Yield Management Center of Excellence strategy and team structure needed to propel Ford Blue's global success.

The ideal candidate will have a quantitative and business background with a successful track record of driving revenue through strategic pricing of goods and services. They will bring experience in yield and revenue management, strategic pricing and business strategy, technology-enabled dynamic pricing systems, and proven experience in building businesses and growing revenue. The ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with members of Marketing, Sales, General Management teams, customers, dealers, Finance, and other stakeholders will be critical.

This role will be based in Dearborn, MI. (Hybrid may be available)

Functional & Technical Knowledge
The minimum requirements we seek

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Statistic, Data Science, or MBA - + years yield management and pricing expertise including revenue management, revenue analytics, dynamic pricing, market mix, etc.)
  • 8 years experience in leading pricing and yield management in a dynamic industry setting such as ecommerce, airlines, hospitality, retail/consumer packaged goods, etc.
Our preferred requirements
  • PHD in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Economics preferred
  • 15 years experience in leading pricing & yield mgmt. preferred
  • Global experience
  • Technology-first, data-driven approach to guiding business decisions
  • Experienced senior leader with proven success in building agile teams and executing strategy in a dynamic, hyper-speed environment
  • Strong People Leader, guiding a team through change and transformation, with an eye on talent development, capability building, and culture
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders and use expertise and data to influence pricing, incentive, and mix decisions
