Electric and commercial vehicles are two key areas of growth under the Ford+ plan. The Ford Pro team is at the intersection of these strategic pillars as Ford becomes the first full-line automaker to launch a commercial-focused electric van and truck combo: the E-Transit and F-150 Lightning Pro.

The BEV Consultant - West will engage fleet customers to recommend a strategy for how to electrify their fleets. The BEV consultant will assess and analyze customer operations to find the best opportunities to transition their fleets to EVs, identify charging solutions and improve the success of EV adoption.

What you'll be able to do:

  • Consult with customers on topics supporting:
    • EV Fit planning within a fleet's operations
    • Home Charging solution design and hardware sales
    • Charging solution fit (depot, home and public)
    • Fleet transition planning considering BEVs, PHEVs and FHEVs
    • Total cost of ownership analysis, and
    • Customer EV training and onboarding tools.
  • Lead engagements with customers to identify needs, offer solutions, and request support customers must provide to facilitate a successful consulting engagement
  • Utilize Pro Charging CRM tools to track customer contacts, meetings scheduled and consulting and sales progress.
  • Partner with Ford data scientists, when required, to analyze customer vehicle usage data to develop recommendations to support our customers in their EV transition
  • Coordinate review and signing of legal agreements required to deliver BEV consulting and charging solutions including charging hardware sales agreements and data processing agreements
  • Operate EV Planning tools and models to develop recommendations as consulting outputs
  • Present recommendations to customers, lead customer meetings and write recommendation and outcome reports.
  • Periodically visit customers for sales meetings or support marketing events (10-20% travel)
  • Collect, analyze, and report insights on EV adoption and pain points in the marketplace as reported by customer and observed through the consulting program. Understand Ford strengths and weaknesses compared to competition in commercial EV and fleet charging space. Identify key gaps from customer perspective in product and service offerings.
The minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting or B2B sales role that includes customer solutions consulting
  • 2+ years experience working fully remote
  • Based in the Pacific Time Zone
Our preferred requirements:
  • Master's Degree
  • Passion for vehicle electrification
  • Proficient in modern collaboration tools such as Office 365, SharePoint, and WebEx Teams
  • Strong analytical and data skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
  • Understanding of the Ford Pro strategy
  • Relationship builder, collaborator
  • Comfort in working in ambiguous situations
  • Experience with goal setting and deliverables tracking
